What are Venetian blinds?

Venetian blinds are the traditional window blinds that most people are familiar with. While aluminium Venetian blinds set the standard, these could also be crafted from other materials including wood and plastic. The slats are positioned horizontally on top of each other, and are suspended by a piece of fabric or plastic which can rotate the slats in unison, controlling the amount of direction of light that enters the room.

They often feature in sleek kitchens or bathrooms, and metal or plastic blinds are a practical choice for rooms with high levels of moisture. As you can filter the light, they are also great for a home office.

Venetian blinds may seem to require a bit of effort to clean, but here's a hack that will help you clean them in 1 minute or less. 

Hint: It requires a sock and some puppeteering.
