What is reupholstery and why should you consider it?

Reupholstery is perfect way to revive a much loved piece without compromising on the comfort and style of the original design. It doesn’t just mean recovering your furniture in the latest fabrics; It can also include inspecting the frame and tightening the joints, replace springs where required, replacing padding and stuffing, and reupholstering the furniture in the fabric of your choice.

In deciding whether to invest in reupholstery, furniture quality and sentimental value are key factors. We'd recommend reupholstering if a furniture has sentimental value or if it’s an heirloom; if it’s the perfect size to fit a specific space or if it’s unique or something you love and you won’t be able to replace. If your furniture has lasted for at least 15-20 years, it's most likely good quality and worth keeping. In that case, reupholstery will breathe new life into it whilst keeping that familiar feel in your living space.
